Registered Manager

Salary: £38,000 plus generous package
Hours: 35 hours per week
Leave: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays
Responsible To: Directors/ Responsible Individual

Objective of Post

We are looking for an exceptional, experienced and empathetic leader and manager to put their stamp on our new charitable, entrepreneurial venture, Positive Futures @Home.

The post holder will be responsible for and lead all staff working within the home to ensure the everyday operation of the home meets the best outcome within a safe environment, whilst complying to Ofsted and the Quality Care Standards.

Some duties will include

  • To be responsible for the management, co-ordination and development of a range of quality services for young people referred and/or accommodated within the home.
  • To promote the practice of working in partnership with young people, their families, other staff within Positive Homes, and other agencies, in order to meet the needs of young
  • To provide effective leadership by implementing organisational strategies, in order to enable objectives of Positive Homes to be achieved.
  • To promote team development and effective team
  • To ensure colleagues are appropriately trained, skilled and qualified to conduct activities and provide support for the young people.
  • To maximise the effectiveness of staff through motivation, development and the application of Positive Homes personnel
  • To take the lead in setting standards and evaluating achievements; to take a proactive role in securing improvements in the quality of services provided by Positive Homes Services.

Sessional Youth Development Worker

Salary: £9 per hour. 1.50 per hour enhancement for Detached work and Leader role
Hours: Range of hour available
Responsible To: Youth Development Worker

Objective of Post

To work as a Detached and Centre based Youth Development Worker, on the streets or inhouse. Supporting or leading the Delivery of a wide range of stimulating and creative programmes. This is to enable children and young people aged 8-24 years access the widest possible variety of activities in their own community.

Some duties will include

  • Work with children and young people in a detached and centre based environment, to plan and deliver activities and events in their area.
  • Work creatively with young people encouraging them to express their views and take control of their projects.
  • Administration of paperwork following activities, to include sessions plans, registers, monitoring and evaluation sheets. To be returned to the Youth Development Worker.
  • Organise group activities.
