Providing Short, Medium and Long-Term Placements for Children & Young People with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties

Positive Homes is a new trading company set-up by Positive Futures. The purpose of Positive Homes is to increase our existing investment in the long-term outcomes of the young people in our care.

Our first home will be situated close to Orrell Park train station. It is a home for up to 4 young people in medium to long term care. It is being fully refurbished to a very high standard and will be ready to move into around Christmas / New Year 2019/2020, exciting eh!

What is the purpose of Positive Homes?

Its purpose is to provide a home which offers outstanding care and support to the most vulnerable young people, including those who are difficult to place and those who may need additional wrap around services. We will work closely with local authorities to deliver care, support and other specialist services which, whilst offering best value, will ensure the best possible outcomes for each young person.

Who may be referred to Positive Homes?

  • Young people aged between 8 and 18yrs
  • Male or Female
  • Young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Registered Manager

Starting Salary: £38,000 plus generous package
Leave: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays = 33 days
Hours: 35 hours
Responsible to: Directors/ Responsible Individual

We are looking for an exceptional, experienced and empathetic leader and manager to put their stamp on a new charitable, entrepreneurial venture.

The post holder will be responsible for and lead all staff working within the home to ensure the everyday operation of the home meets the best outcome within a safe environment, whilst complying to Ofsted and the Quality Care Standards.

They will be responsible for managing all aspects of running the home, for short, medium and long term planned placements to ensure young people are supported and prepared to move on to independent living.

The post holder will ensure that high levels of educational, emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation and the service of keyworkers are planned, provided and applied in accordance with Positive Homes Procedures and Policies.

An Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required for this post.
