Clare brings over 15 years of experience across the youth and community sector, underpinned by a decade as a qualified social worker. Her career spans a wide range of roles focused on safeguarding, family support, and substance misuse recovery, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people and families.
Clare has worked extensively in community drug and alcohol recovery services, including specialist family recovery work and supporting young people through dedicated recovery programs. She has held positions as a team leader, safeguarding social worker within Liverpool’s Children’s Services, and family support worker, before moving into youth work management.
As a qualified Nurture and Talking Teens facilitator, Clare is passionate about empowering young people and strengthening family relationships. Her leadership combines frontline expertise with three years of management experience, ensuring Positive Futures delivers high-quality, impactful services that meet the needs of our communities.
Clare is committed to creating a culture of psychological safety and professional growth within her team. She empowers and coaches targeted mentors and youth workers to feel supported, confident, and well-trained, enabling them to deliver services that make a measurable difference. Through ongoing supervision, reflective practice, and tailored development opportunities, Clare ensures her team is equipped to provide safe, effective, and transformative support for young people and families.
