Support Available in the Local Area this Christmas

Christmas should be a time of happiness and festivities for everyone – sadly, however, different circumstances for some, and with the cost-of-living crisis tightening on others, this isn’t always the case.

Support isn’t always as easy to come by as it should be, so we have compiled a number of different avenues of support that can be accessed around the local community.

The Hope Foundation

The Hope Foundation are providing Christmas Meals on Christmas day. The three-course dinner is accompanied by gifts, games, and live entertainment as part of their ‘Christmas Meal Project’, and caters to around 250 people each year.

The Hope Foundation (11:30am – 4pm at 42-44 Townsend Lane, L6 0BA). Booking is required so please RSVP by calling 07842757424.

Warm Spaces`

Sefton Warm Spaces provide fully heated areas where one can study, chill, make friends and socialise with others, with some of their locations also offering free tea, coffee, biscuits, activities and Wi-Fi

Christmas at the Old Library

There will be a festive gathering on Christmas Day in The Old Library, hosted by Lister Steps. There will be food, drink and activities available for free, for all. While there’s no need to book, letting them know you’re coming in advance will be helpful for them to ensure they can cater for all.
